Complex façade-retention and demolition support project involving temporary steelwork, timber bracing and close urban coordination.
This five-storey property required full internal demolition while retaining the façade and supporting structure.
Supersteel designed and installed the temporary steel framework, complex timber bracing and brick supports to enable MacDemo to carry out the controlled demolition.
The project relied on in-house Tekla/CAD expertise and structural engineering to develop the intricate temporary steel arrangements.
Because of strict local authority requirements, the team took extra care to reduce noise and minimise street disruption throughout the works.
